Our mission is to build rugged camera and video systems that keep critical infrastructure visible, connected, and operational in the world’s toughest environments, and to stand behind every product with American engineering, manufacturing, and support.

For more than 40 years WTI has delivered electronics, camera, and video systems for mission-critical environments: intelligent transportation systems, security and surveillance, emergency response, and engineering applications. More than 200,000 rugged devices have shipped from Ventura.

The Sidewinder PTZ platform has been deployed on U.S. roads for two decades. WTI is also the OEM manufacturer for Econolite's Autoscope detection products, and a locally owned California Certified Small Business.

    In-house engineering and R&D

    Electrical, mechanical, and software engineering under one roof. WTI designs its products for critical infrastructure, from the camera housing to the control software.

    In-house CNC machining and metal fabrication

    Raw metal comes in. WTI machines and fabricates its own parts, components, motor assemblies, and all-aluminum housings on CNC equipment in Ventura.

    In-house electronics manufacturing

    SMT and through-hole circuit boards are built on WTI's own line in California, so electronics are WTI parts, not sourced modules.

    In-house assembly and testing

    WTI technicians assemble, build, and test every unit. Every Sidewinder is submersion tested before it ships.
