What the suite does
Intuitive monitoring and configuration
One window for device status, live video, and every camera setting.
Find the camera on the network by IP or WTI/UDP discovery and confirm its model, serial number, and firmware version before you touch a setting. The status panel shows pan, tilt, and zoom position, internal temperature, and connection state beside the live stream, so you can see the effect of each change as you make it.
Once a unit is dialed in, save the configuration as a profile and load it onto the next camera. Network settings, encoder profiles, and presets carry over, which keeps a corridor of cameras consistent and cuts commissioning time on each pole.
Full control over camera functionality
Pan, tilt, zoom, focus, iris, exposure, day/night, defog, image flip, presets and tours.
Drive the camera from the on-screen joystick or the keyboard, and set optical and digital zoom, auto or manual focus, and iris from the lens panel. Exposure mode, shutter speed, gain, brightness, backlight compensation, IR-cut threshold, and wide dynamic range are all adjustable while you watch the live video.
Presets store position and lens state together, and tours sequence them with dwell times. Day/night switching, defog, image flip, and the window wiper are toggled from the same panel, so every function the camera has is reachable without a second application or a web browser.
Full control and configuration of video analytics
Enable, configure, and tune the onboard analytics on each Sidewinder.
Analytics run in the camera, not on a server. Detection zones and count lines are set up in the camera’s built-in web interface, with no additional software needed; the camera reports vehicle counts by class, line crossing, stopped vehicles, and wrong-way movement.
Because the configuration lives on the camera, it survives a reboot and does not depend on a cloud connection or a subscription.
Internal temperature and humidity
Monitor camera health and heater status remotely.
The status panel reports internal temperature and humidity along with the state of the window heater, so a technician can confirm the camera is warm and dry before a storm without driving to the site. Readings update while the connection is open.
Trends that drift out of range point to a failing seal or a heater problem long before the image degrades, which lets maintenance be scheduled instead of reactive.
Camera firmware updates
Push firmware to cameras from the same application.
The Install Software panel loads the camera firmware bundled with each release, or a file you choose, and installs it to the connected camera. Installation runs over the same network connection used for configuration, so no site visit or console cable is needed.
After installing a new release of the software, update the camera firmware to enable the latest features. The option to reinstall firmware that is already current lets you re-flash a unit that is misbehaving.
Protocol and codec support
ONVIF, Pelco-D, COHU, NTCIP; H.265, H.264, MPEG-4, MJPEG.
Choose the control protocol your video management or central system expects, then configure each video output independently: codec, resolution, and frame rate per encoder, with unicast or multicast delivery over TCP/IP.
Streams are delivered over RTP and RTSP alongside HTTP, HTTPS, SNMPv3, DHCP, NTP, and IEEE 802.1x network authentication, so the camera fits existing ITS networks and security policies without custom integration.
